Snyder Hoffman is fortunate to be located in the Lehigh Valley, an area rich in medical development and surrounded by several outstanding institutions of higher education.

This combination has allowed Snyder Hoffman the opportunity to work on a multitude of research facilities in both hospital and educational settings.

New STEM Facility at BCCC

In 2017 construction was completed on Bucks County Community College’s new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math facility on the College’s main campus. Snyder Hoffman provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs for the 43,000 square foot facility, which resides on the College’s main campus adjacent to the existing Founders Hall academic building.  The project’s HVAC design included a geothermal system with a dedicated heat recovery chiller, variable speed pumps, variable speed fans, and air-to-air energy recovery systems to capture the energy in exhaust systems serving the facility’s multiple laboratory hoods.  Snyder Hoffman has enjoyed a long working relationship with the College spanning 15 projects over two decades.

Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences Building

Snyder Hoffman teamed with West Side Hammer (Electrical) and Dual-Temp (HVAC & Plumbing) contractors to complete a Design-Build project overseen by Iron Hill Construction Management on the beautiful campus of Moravian College.  The 56,840 square foot, three story facility contains offices, classrooms, a Virtual Cadaver Lab, Microbiology Labs, Conference/Seminar Rooms, Low and High Fidelity SIM Labs and an Anatomy/Physiology Lab.  The center will be dedicated, and opened in September of 2017.

Doering Center for Science and Research

Doering Center for Science and Research

  • Owner: Bryn Athyn College

Snyder Hoffman partnered with Spillman Farmer Architects to create the Grant R. Doering Center for Science and Research on the campus of Bryn Athyn College. The 39,000 square foot Center was opened in 2009 and achieved LEED® Gold Certification. The facility supports the College’s Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science departments.
